Kizaru's Voice Unshō Ishizuka Has Passed Away

Unshō Ishizuka the voice of many iconic anime characters has passed away aged 67 after suffering from Oesophageal cancer. He started his anime voice acting career in 1984 and became a recognizable voice in the industry because of his distinct voice.


He is widely known for his role in One Piece as Kizaru. His other popular work includes Professor Oak from Pokémon, Mr Satan from Dragon Ball Series, Jet from Cowboy Bebop, Zabuza from Naruto and Joseph Joestar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable.

He was also the narrator of Pokémon franchise, 2016 adaptation of Berserk, and Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online. Additionally, he also lent is voice talent in gaming industry.
